And they're not coming from the atoms of copper wire nor from those atoms in the iron core. When I used a 230 Amp arc welder...not only is electricity changed into heat and light...as well as maintaining an electrical current through the metal I'm working on...but, if it wasn't for the power co. keeping the amps and volts up...my welding would cease.

You folks seem unwilling to say that electricity has any properties but, a negative charge...or potential. Anyone who's done any welding will know that electricity (as in this 230 Amp arch welder example...or to be really radical...a 25,000 degree F. plasma cutter...which uses ionized/electrically charged gas to cut metal like butter) also gives off very strong UV rays, great heat, a negative charge/current, very bright visible light, a magnetic field...etc....

Conservation of energy and mass. Electricity (electrons)...if, they give off light, heat and other things as they do...then, they will eventually diminish and expire...seeking an entropic state (when free) and dissipating their charge unless, they...ie. the current is replaced by more electrons. Electrons have mass. As miniscule as it maybe. To say something is massless is tantamount to claiming it doesn't exist. So, since electricity exists...it gives off light...both ultra violet and visible, plus heat, an electric charge and a magnetic field...it is obviously being used...spent...and I say being converted to other forms/states of energy. Electromagnetic spectrum...looks like they're both interrelated doesn't it...because they are.

When we burn a piece of wood. We change the state...energy level of the wood. What remains is not the same thing...but, all the components of the fire and the wood added up...in reverse order...would equal the unburnt tree.

When electricity heats/excites the filament in a light bulb the bulb gives off visible light and heat. Electricity has caused the filament to glow...nothing is free (it comes from somewhere)...electricity was used...energy was used to produce both the light and heat.

Consensus opinion/reality...remains in full effect huh?

Anyway...later.
