LEXG was a massive promo as well, the share price on that one is higher today (almost a year later) than it was when the promotion started, no?! And if the company picks up cash to clean up the balance sheet and the share price comes right back to where it was, how is that bad for the company? Market cap is the same but balance sheet and cash position is improved... all things considered, the company would now be in a stronger position, no?
The negative connotation attributed to the company you described is one that is held by penny stock traders, not the business partners of the company... so any destruction of business reputation is arguable.
