No, that is a very big deal. In Pennsylvania (I think), there was a private boot camp for young offenders that was filled up by a local judge. They would arrest kids for minor offenses and then ruin their lives. After one of the kids committed suicide, the parents got together and had the judge thrown out...let's just say he was NOT re-elected.

Privatizing prisons is a VERY BAD idea!
