The SEC and the Impact of Its Enforcement Actions


POINT:

Possibly in response to complaints that the SEC has done little to go after those that caused the financial crash, the SEC has started crowing about its enforcement actions.

COUNTERPOINT:

The New York Times posits that such enforcement actions are meaningless and that the SEC looks a blind eye at repeat offenders, so long as they are among the who’s who of Wall Street.
