Sox, It's really very simple. Very simple! And one does not have to go back to primitive man to find a example of "questionable" salvation.

According to the interpretation of the Christian Right {and their's can be the ONLY "right" interpretation because the Word is "perfect"} there are contemporary spiritual leaders who are not/or will not have "eternal salvation", ie they're NOT going to "heaven". Examples would include the Rabbi Schneersohn, the Dali Lama, and probably Mother Teresa - even though she may have considered herself Christian. Depending on one's view of Christianity, Mother Teresa may/or may not have been a member of "satanic cult"..... And even if some believed the Rebbe to be a Prophet or Messiah, the Rebbe is doomed because he was a Jew, obviously!! The Dali Lama's "idolatry" is an abomination to all "right" minded "believers".... Are you getting it yet?? No need to go back to Neanderthal man when there are contemporary "sinners"... Or so says the Christian Right!..

It is easy! Only Evangelical and/or Born Again Christians go to heaven, or get "saved" - because they believe the literal word of Jesus. Their acts are of little consequence at the Pearly Gates. Jews, other Christians, and the rest of humanity are not "saved" - even if they thought they were "good". They are going to HELL! It's that simple, and who are we, the "unsaved" to question the "saved".

They don't call 'em the "Moral Majority" for nuthin'!!!.. :)
