Make sure you view the SPLI chart: http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=SPLI&insttype=Stock&freq=1&show=&time=4 and ask yourself if it looks like a potential bounce could happen? Anything is possible.
There's a multi-billion dollar worldwide market out there for SPLI's services.
Recent headlines this year has put emphasis on how important airplane maintenance can be.
Just this month the CEO of chip maker Micron died after the small plane he was piloting crashed at an airport in Idaho.
Last month the European Aviation Safety Agency ordered the inspection of 20 A380s after cracks were found in the wings of Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Air France planes.
One of the most important things about airplanes that we sometimes take for granted is that they constantly need to be maintained. Our safety on board is extremely important which means these aircrafts have to be serviced and looked over very often.
Every aircraft in the world is on a scheduled cycle that includes maintenance for every one of thousands of individual parts of the plane at least once during the lifetime of the asset. Airlines infrequently keep inventory on-hand which is favorable to suppliers such as SPLI!
SPLI services a broad range of clients such as aircraft leasing companies, major airlines, repair stations, fixed-base operators, leasing companies and aftermarket suppliers.
The company provides aftermarket supply-chain services for the aerospace, aviation, and defense industries including:
* Component Sales
* Asset Management
* Surplus Sales
* MRO services
* Production Procurement
The airline industry is enormous. According to General Aviation Manufacturers Association (2011), general aviation contributes more than $150 billion to the U.S. economy annually and employs more than 1.2 mil people!
Just today Boeing announced that they have locked in its biggest order ever. The company has finalized an order from Indonesian carrier Lion Air for 230 planes — worth a combined $22.4 billion!
The deal is the largest commercial airplane order ever for Boeing Co. by both dollar value and number of airplanes. Lion Air also has the rights to buy 150 more.
WAIR (Wesco Aircraft) is one of the world’s largest distributors and providers of comprehensive supply chain management services to the global aerospace industry. The stock is trading at nearly $15 a share.
SPLI may not be anywhere near as big or known as WAIR right now, but there is no telling what the future may hold.
SPLI is exploring new paths to expand their markets.
CEO Joel Young announces, "Rapid expansion of our business is anticipated through new joint ventures in components and in-demand airfield services to increase our revenues. We are planning collaborative projects, aircraft purchases, and expansion into promising new markets to grow our customer base while constantly exploring emerging sectors to implement our successful growth strategy."
Young continued, "We are excited about being a public company and look forward to enhancing shareholder value while delivering exceptional products and services to our current and future customers. We believe the benefit to shareholders is substantial with projected strong revenue and earnings growth in the future coming from our anticipated strategic alliances.
SPLI is planning to increase their presence in the Caribbean and Latin American markets. A big part of the Caribbean and Latin tourism industry is getting visitors there via plane.
Young has said, "With over 20% of our past sales revenue derived from international sales, we are currently planning our growth strategy for Latin America and the Caribbean. A new strategic relationship may help the Company achieve a beneficial stronghold in these important, growing markets."
