Sarai, I am a conservative protestant (as I'm sure you have figured out). I think salvation can only be understood in context of "what difficulty are we saved from" or "what problem salvation solves". Thus my dialog w/ jbennett. Once we have a clear definition of the problem - we can assess the effectiveness of various proposed "solutions" (methods of salvation). Without a mutual understanding of the problem, debating "solutions" is fruitless.
