It calls for the United States to maintain its overwhelming military superiority and prevent new rivals from rising up to challenge it on the world stage. It calls for dominion over friends and enemies alike. It says not that the United States must be more powerful, or most powerful, but that it must be absolutely powerful.

I do not care for the religious practices of the Iranian leadership but considering the circumstances in which Iran finds itself I cannot fault them, certainly not to the extent of the propaganda we are reading.


A major mistake I am seeing being made is that all of this is about the securing of oil. No, it is not so much the seeking of oil for one's own needs but rather the control of the flow of all oil and what’s more important the denial of this crucial lifeblood to strategic countries through dominance of the pipelines.

Ask yourself, what if a neighbor moved into your hood and by force became the only person allowed to go to the supermarket and obtain food and then preceded to dole it out or withhold this vital necessity by whim? Does this seem a lasting arrangement to you? Will the spirit of man eventually find a way to subdue this blackmailing bully? Okay, simply put, yet in essence what Bush is trying with not only oil but water.
