Private Messaging is only part of the features of a premium membership. There is the basic free membership that has certain features. A premium membership includes ticker search on public boards, ticker search on a member's profile as well as private messaging - it's a package. The "Privacy" that is desired is the privacy from the public having the ability to see the message - at least that is my expectation.
