Not quite is an understatement. They are comparing apples and oranges.

Take the Dow and pull Cisco, Kraft and Travelers out and put back in GM, Citi and AIG. What do you have?

As far as the SP 500 goes I'd say that more than 10% of the components have changed for one reason or another.
