I can only imagine how loud your house is when your dogs alert you to a UPS delivery or girl scouts selling cookies. My sister had 3 dogs (but sadly is down to one after the other two passed away). They have windows on both sides of the front door and all 3 dogs would sound the alarm when anyone approached or walked past the house with a dog.
I've only been around one Italian Grey Hound, but she seemed almost fragile with her thin little bones. It's good to hear that they can be so frisky flying around the room chasing each other like cats.
My cats are both rescued Bengals, which is a very active breed. I took in the first as a traumatized foster cat and decided to keep him. Even though I played with him a lot, he needed another cat to play with so I adopted a female who is older, but even more active. They got along immediately. I love watching them having such fun chasing each other and could care less about the material possessions that get knocked around. They are considered a dog-like breed.
