Actually I think the point was that the article was paid for, as the reference clearly shows.

Just who paid for it might be the more relevant question. Penny stock scams like JBII often feature third parties who pay for various services while allowing "management" plausible deniability.

Except, of course, they never really are third parties in the true sense of the word.
