"Back down" to where? Past some numbers there will be problems in the financial industries main components.

Below 3,000 FTSE the big British Indsurance companies have to start selling. Below 6,500 US instittions and pension funds may run into regulatory issues.

Each of those adds further material downward pressure.

Not much below that and the banking sector starts to come into focus and after that at or around say Dow 5,500 - Dow 6,500 real and unpleasnt strains strat to occur.

So how much "back down" do you foresee?
