Are you using Opera as your browser ? I have had this problem
from day one without ever seeing any post number in that box
over 4 characters eventhought if i click my curser into the box
i can see that all the numbers are there using the Home & End.
plus clicking my cursor there and hitting Enter will results as if
it was a click'able field with a go-to type action. And just to note
incase Bob wants extra info, for example i wanted to go to the
following post in a seperate window while at the post that has:

(location: Q & A board)

and in that second window i located myself at the board header
and knew that i could enter 19754 into the GOTO box, but saw
an opportunity to add to the picky, picky, picky FLOOD GATES
that stand above BobZ so that once opened the amount of new
code as yet uncoded will wash upon Bob and carry him off to
the next state :o)
ok, So i figured a shortcut to that post # 19754 could be had
if i entered it into the Search this Board box, and oopse not only
got No Results in Search "error" message, but remembered that
ya'up, i and others already mentioned this "short fall" to BobZ
too many months ago, so knowing that one can add the same
picky, picky, picky item as many times as needed, i again add
it so that once them FLOOD GATES are opened, extra uncode
will drop onto BobZ's hat that has the pin wheel on top :o)

Where was i ???
Guess i have to do a "dirty" and read my post here from the top
and see what the %$#@ i initially started this post with, as in
a topic or direction, and yes its not a nice thing to do, reading
a gotmilk post, as even i have a hard time and must force myself
to continue reading it from start to finish. YUCK

now,
As BobZ DID see MY LIGHT about the Public Reply
versus them extra ly(s) ... GOTMILK RULES :o)
and the most likely not noticed reverse of the Reply
to be after the Public as a positive since one already
knows that one is to do a Reply and want to find either
the Public or Private key word as FIRST eye contact'ness
that its a double win, frees up Real Estate & FUDGE the verb,
its more a KISS now :o)

OOPS... i forgot to actually "do" the above. SORRY

Matt suggested a MLAR replace Mark as Last Read
sandwhich is AWFULL
as everyday Matt would receive 66 Private Messages
asking "What the %%^$&% is a MLAR"
and eventually Matt will blow his top
and reply a version of a programmers RTFM to new programmmers.

Now BobZ replaced
"Mark as Last Read" with "Mark Last Read"
resulting in a saving of 3 characters
and introduction of 3 largers Mind Warps
a.k.a Engish Grammer poory dided

Now BobZ need to replace
"Mark Last Read" with "Read Mark"
as golly a read mark is as it says, a mark placed onto a read,
where the read is what one has just done and is now "at"
and wants to mark it, versus current "Mark Last Read"
sandwhich sounds like one want to graffito up an existing post.

Now i think it clear why none of my posts go into a Preview.
I KNOW WHAT READING A POST LIKE THIS DOES,
IT PUSHES ONES SANITY INTO INSANITY POSSIBBILITIES.
