So what you are saying is that if I write a book or tell stories/fables about your life then that should be taken as if you wrote it yourself? I've heard of many people writing about events in which two different people at the same event interpret what happened different. I find it rather plausible that misinterpretations would be rather common about what someone said and what another person heard never mind the interpretation of what someone heard. Oral communication can be very powerful for the listener yet completely loses it's meaning when not communicated properly.

I have seen to many authors try to capture the moment and history of events to know that such a task is very difficult. You put far to much faith that the writers memories and interpretations were the proper interpretations that Jesus really meant. I suspect some if not many are the result of what the writer wants the reader to read and feel.
