Gen 1 was the Monster Silk worms done by the piggyBac

Round 1 of ZF GMs (PRed July 5) was the platform worm based on the large commercial worms (Gen 2)

Round 2 of ZF GMs (PRed 8 Aug)was done to Monster silk worms "to further enhance Kraig's previously disclosed Monster Silk polymers" so that was an advancement on Gen 1 (as I noted before it would result in either 1) "pure" (no major WSP) spider silk OR a platform worm based on Monster Silk worms instead of the LCW..

The 14 Nov PR was of the results of round 1 . It was results of a previous round and not a round in itself. To confirm that, note that the PR said "The resulting silkworms were inter-mated to produce 50 mating pairs, which each produced clutches of approximately 100 eggs" Obviously they could not have done all that unless they were talking about round 1.

Round 3 of ZF GMs was PRed on 19 Jan but was described as "round one of the second generation" rather than as round 3 of the ZF GMs. THIS CHANGE IN TERMINOLOGY APPEARS TO BE CAUSING ONGOING CONFUSION.

Keeping all this straight admittedly requires very close attention to all details and the exact wording. IMHO better wording and more carefully chosen terminology could avoid much of this confusion.
