Once upon a time .. Scrambling in Yoho National Park



Yoho National Park has been a hotbed for mountaineers since the early days of the railroad as European settlers ventured westward. The village of Field is nestled between three popular Rocky Mountain scrambles: Mount Stephen, Mount Burgess, and Mount Field.

Filter feeders (a sub-group of suspension feeders) are animals that feed by straining suspended matter and food particles from water, typically by passing the water over a specialized filtering structure. Some animals that use this method of feeding are clams, krill, sponges, baleen whales, and many fishes (including some sharks). Some birds, such as flamingos, are also filter feeders.
