Apparently we had quite the slowdown this morning. I was too busy fixing a problem here with getting out to the internet (it looked like that SQL worm again, but SQL wasn't running and a reboot seems to have fixed it) to even notice that the site itself was having problems.

It was that same problem that visits us from time to time: The Query Execution Plan was hosed and the fix was telling the server to recompile the plan. Of course, the server was so swamped, that I couldn't even give it that instruction, which meant that I had to shut down the webserver for a moment, wait for the requests to all expire, issue the recompile command, then bring the webserver back up.

Looking good now. Both machines staying in their normal range, although "normal" on the database server is still higher than I'm used to and like seeing it.
