I do not believe in the concept of opening a retail location from a rented facility.
I do not see how anyone can open a general merchandise discount store for 100k to 150k. That is just absolutely not possible.
Before you can even do that, you need to make arrangements to start paying the IRS and the state of Washington. You put that kind of money in a bank account and the government will take it right away. I seen it happen.
Before you can do this, you have to approach MF and see about straightening out the current situation. Are you going to fund this development?
A few years back, right after he took over from BH, MF offered to raise 60K from the investors just so he could keep going when there was a much better situation, and he was only able to raise about 10K. Why would it be different now.
It would be much easier to buy an existing business, and offer the owner some cash along with shares of stock. Look at what BH did with ICTN. He turned it into BCCI and bought existing locations. There are hundreds of thousands of businesses across the USA that can be bought.
Even if I had money, I wouldn't invest in starting a general discount store as you propose. However, if others are willing to do so, go for it. you have my moral support.
