Seems to be a temperature-related phenomenon…

But there is no medical hypothesis underlying the association, as far as I can tell. Moreover, the observed effect of higher temperature and the observed effect of an increase in the proportion of sunny days were in opposite directions.

All told, this study has the outward appearance of statistical noise, IMO.
