Do you think , it could be possible that this Mr. Harari has a personal agenda ? Sounds very Zionist to me or ... I need just use our own Zionist word ... NEOCON !
In Response to an open letter by: Prof. Haim Harari an Israeli
by A.H. Krieg
1. Prof Harari, a physicists at the Israeli Davidson Institute of science and education, and past president of the Weizmann Institute of Science, claims that he puts aside the issue of the regional conflict in the Middle East between Israel and it neighbors because "Israel and any related problems in the Middle East are not the central issue". That is utterly ridiculous! A 37 year illegal military occupation, the unequal civil rights between Christian as well as Muslim Arabs and Israelis, the destruction of homes and businesses, the theft of land, the continuous expansion of illegal settlements, the machine-gunning of rock-throwing children, the destruction of farms, the theft of water rights in an arid region, all these have no bearing on the issue?
2. He said: " the millions who died in the Iran Iraq war" this has nothing whatever to do with current affairs.
3. The genocide in the Sudan, nothing to do with this issue.
4. He goes on to list problems in Algeria, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, Libya and Afghanistan; and again these have nothing whatever to do with the current problems of Palestine and Israel. The process of confusing an issue by trumping up facts unrelated to a situation is an old and tried means of diverting the reader's attention from the real topic.
5. He then claims that the entire Arab world is totally dysfunctional. He lists many arguments for this but avoids the central issue about Palestine.
The Palestinians have been forbidden by Israel to have an airport, seaport, or connecting highway system. All the occupied territories are separated in enclaves wherein access and movement is totally controlled by the IDF. Israel is building a wall in some places over 8 miles inside of Palestinian territory this will allow Israel to bring about 50 Kibbutz into Israel and confiscate many square miles of Palestinian land. Through and only through Israeli action unemployment in the occupied territories is over 70%. Israel is building a linking highway system connecting all the 150 remaining in Palestine Kibbutz with barriers thus preventing travel from point to point within the occupied land.
6. In addressing the "Martyr" (Suicide Bombing) issue he again circumvents the cause. Frankly people who feel that they have a future do not blow themselves up. The desperation inside of the occupied lands has reached the point where many young people see no future in their Israeli instituted settlement camps and would rather die than to continue their horrific boring unemployed lives.
7. The issue of state terrorism by Israel is also strenuously avoided. Assassinations IDF by military hit teams have killed hundreds of Arab leaders including at least one Islamic cleric who was a paraplegic. Destructions of homes have continued unabated for over 30 years. Wholesale destruction of businesses competing with Israeli ones across the border is a totally new from of Israeli marketing.
8. The attacks on Mosques as well as Christian Churches including the Churches in Bethlehem a primarily Christian community are not addressed. The Gunning down of over 30 Arabs at prayer in the Dome of the Rock Mosque by an IDF soldier is glossed over. As is the cause of the present Intifada that was begun by the Israeli Prime Minister Sharon when he and over 40 military bodyguards encroached on the Dome of the Rock Mosque in a grandstand political act prior to his election. This was carried out in violation of a very long-standing agreement between all parties not to violate the sanctity of religious sites.
9. Prof. Harari's total lack of understanding or knowledge of Islam and Islamic law verifies the fact that people who are uneducated in issues should stick to ones about which they are educated in.
10. Also strenuously avoided it the fact that Iraq was one of only two nations in the Middle East who could possibly pose a threat to Israel and that the entire cabal of Neo-Cons in Washington are a bunch of rabid Zionists.
11. He then goes on to speak of money. Well what about the billions upon billions of foreign aid we provide Israel? What about the additional billions in military aid? Why is America providing the nation with the 19th highest per capita income in the world all this foreign aid, when all her neighbors are destitute?
12. He speaks of law and lawlessness. Well I have been in Saudi Arabia I never locked my car and left the keys in it most of the time, no one ever tried to cheat me. When I went to Israel the situation was somewhat different everyone tried to gouge on prices cheat you at every turn and if you left your car unattended it was stolen. So much for law.
13. How can we win? Is Prof. Harari's question. We are then subjected to a long line of platitudes but no real answers. To win for all of us America and Israel is very simple. Remove the economic and social situation in which the Arabs of Palestine find themselves in. Then entire Middle East problem is simple to overcome.
End the illegal occupation of Palestine.
Remove all the illegal settlements in Palestine.
Tear down the illegal wall under construction.
Allow the Palestinians autonomy.
Allow Palestine their own sea and airports.
Allow all the displace Arabs who came from Palestine and were driven out by the Israelis to return home.
Pay restitution to Palestinians whose property; land, farms, and businesses have been stolen.
Stop stealing Palestinian water rights.
Join in a partnership to develop industries in Palestine which has just the exact labor pool needed by Israel.
America to give Palestine foreign aid not Israel who uses it to prop up their socialist Zionist state, and military.
Give equal rights to Arabs living in Israel who are Israeli citizens.
Giving credence to expanding the war in the Middle East
Hararri then proposes the Iran the only other nation that could possibly pose a threat to Israel must be brought to heel. They have a dangerous nuclear weapons program! Israel at latest count had well over 400 nuclear warheads and enough chemical and bacteriological agents to poison the entire region, how about we start there rather then in Iran who has to date not produced a weapon.
