It appears as though I am misinformed. The Calypso phone is a manually switching phone. This is a little disheartening as I envisioned a phone that would handle this for you. I can see why it is the case though. Handling the switchover from a person losing a wifi connection over to a cell connection would be tricky as it takes some time to regain a cell connection and gaining a cell connection is not always guaranteed as we all know.

I'm fine with the manual switching as long as the voice connection is still seamless during the switchover...Example:

You walk into your house after taking a call in the car. Right when you step in the door you phone notifies you that the wifi connection is found. You press the switch button and bingo!, now you have a crystal clear connection. You walk out of range of your wifi connection and you start to notice the connection getting weak and poor...HOLD ON! Press the switch button to cell 'cause I'm leaving now. BINGO! Now I can leave the house and keep talking to you.
