I never missed Bill ever ... UNTIL...one show, maybe a year and a half ago or so ... I have no idea who he was talking to but it was the segment at the beginning where there is a guest and it's just the guest and Bill .. .. well, I heard him go into this Muslim rant .. well rant is the wrong word ....he wasn't Pamela Geller .. but he WAS bill maher and for the FIRST time I heard just exactly how uninformed he was ... He OFFENDED me! and I have nothing at all to do with being a Muslim ... his information was so incorrect and I thought it was so important for HIM to be correct on THIS subject and he wasn't .. and that changed the way I felt about him forever ..I didn't watch him for a long time and since then it's been very sporadic ... I DID see him the other night ... somehow, he slipped that right in and none of them seem to miss a beat (except as the article said ) the audience didn't like it and then he was so fast with his .. . 'whatever' against supporters of Obama fans .. it was so fast ... . and they moved right along ... really, I didn't think about it too much ... BUT NOW, it comes back to me ... how many people have been hurt by Bill Maher before ... regarding Obama ... I had forgotten how insensitive he was to Black People and all the 'stuff' I had read about it .. and REALLY how 'racist' some of his comments were ... also .. I remembered Ta-Nehisi Coates .. writing about it (MM) also ....and Angry Black Lady and Smarty Pants .. and the Grio and other Black writers and publications etc... WE, WHITE people don't get it .. ! .....I believe WE still don't get it .... .AND this is ONE of the reasons that an entire group of people in the democratic party .... see "white progressives" .. in a somewhat negative light at times ... it's due to their thoughtless (racist) comments over the past three years .... .some of these things said over and over again ... as if it's so clever and funny ... ha! not.

here is some of Ta-Nehisi Coates stuff on it AND other people mentioning these incidents ...This is the time of Obama in America and SHE is still learning. What is important is that WE CARE about learning ... and have been made better people for it .. PLUS we've been forced to grow and see things how other people see them .. rather than our own little protected domiciles ...;) .......in the long run ...... This GROWTH will be good for us and for ALL in our country ....
