New Subject
I see there are two controversial subjects we haven't "discussed yet.
One is capital punishment and the other isn't.
I see Texas has "put down" another human life - it's third this year. Now I am familiar about Jesus' teaching on the righteousness of capital punishment "render to Caeser that which belongs to Caeser", but does anyone here believe that their life belongs to the State ?
Reading the paper, I also see that some humdinger mass murders have recently happened in Texas. Why aren't these murderers deterred by capital punishment. Ain't that what it's supposed to do ? My son, who plays violent video games, says I don't know 'nutin. It's not justice that is served, it's revenge - a literal interpretation of the Old Testament admonition. The states with the most executions have the most Bible thumpers.
Now where do kid's get these ideas ? (from their parents, I hope).
