For sure everyone has heard claims made in the last fifty years of a new cure or invention or discovery that will revolutionize everyday life.
Can anyone think of an instant where any of those actually came to fruition?
Things like the invention of the transistor, C60, and discovery of a high temperature superconductor made of ceramic were noted with great excitement in the science and engineering community, but the general public didn't notice any change for a long time of anything that really changed their life, and even then while change was eventually great in certain areas, the degree and arrive could both be slow to develope.
Back to those claims of WOW that never happened or never developed to make any difference.
