I remember a car accident lawsuit when I was younger with a personal, temporary injury. My parents lawyer was hoping privately to get $10,000 to $15,000. They start the suit demanding $300,000. That's how the American legal system works.

WTF do you expect lawyers to do? Actually state in the opening litigation of a lawsuit an honest, fair amount? lol, wake up people. Wake up. Nobody is going to get removed or step down over a single line error from 2009 that was withdrawn 51 days after the audit.
