Dead wrong. The overwhelming majority of these types of cases, and ones far far worse, never see a court room.
And the books weren't "juiced" -- the "juicing" for the 10,000th time referred to the pro forma numbers. Pro forma numbers by their definition, almost literally, means "numbers you juice" because there are no GAAP rules (even the complaint explains this to you) or any rules for pro forma numbers.
pro for·ma Accounting . indicating hypothetical financial figures based on previous business operations for estimate purposes: a pro forma balance sheet.
There's nothing illegal about "juicing" pro forma numbers. If that's the best they got, this case would be laughed out of a court room by a jury. It will likely go the route that 95% of other cases go -- aka settelment.
