If people were insects, they would be hexapedal and would likely designate 0.06 as the de facto threshold for statistical significance.



There might be a flaw in this hypothesis.
Could the assertion that insects would base their counting system on the number of limbs they possess be arbitrary and/or anthropomorphic?
Cicadas for example count in 13 and 17 year periods which are both prime numbers BTW.
