well its the last thing Iran wants is War yet a state of War does exist in the technical sense of the sanctions . The reference of Reagan negotiations with Gorgbachev isn't even a parallel to negotiating with Iranian whackos , they are completely lost in medieval space .

Let the sanctions rule over the situation and settle over them like a death shroud in the next 6mos , then along with economic global slowdown new realities will settle into their consciousness , like having worthless money & 25% unemployement . If i read Obama correctly he's playing for keeps and with every backing of the Saudis and others in the region , Iran is full center in our gunsights in every way . I would be shaking in my booties if i were them , they basically are on their last legs now and a fully awake giant coalition is about to fall on their heads.

The Arab spring this year is going to be something, not the easiest time to for new gov't formation & tendency to turn to religious militant nationalistic groups very strong . So they can all be militant, zealots & continually poor like Korea with God & sharia law on their side . That will get fatiguing very quickly but they'll (new ruling bodies) have their chance to run things , see how well they do. Prolly not very well because people cannot eat words .
