deadbeat, You could very well be correct, it may have been a misreading on my part. I live in an area with many who believe devoutly in Rev 21/8 and they will throw it in your face every chance they get. I have puzzled about that passage and have come to the conclusion that if it could be literally true that God would condemn over 5 billions to Hell for eternity because they did not accept Him during their mortal life what does that make Him? It makes Him what he is condemning. I have had several discussions with my next door neighbor who is a Church Of Christ minister. He believes that the weak of faith use this passage to convince others to believe, which gives them justification. What I really do not like is we now have folks in power who believe this devoutly and would not be worried about setting a stage for the Apocolypse.
I would not presume to tell others which path to follow in life much less tell them that if they do not believe as I that their children will be tortured for eternity in Hell.
