Re; unpaved roads in Eastern Wyoming. In the Spring, muddy conditions can close down roads. No truck traffic is possible.
County dirt roads are often built with just a few inches of gravel, as a road base. To handle heavy truck traffic, the roads need a much thicker layer of gravel. To rebuild a road for heavy truck traffic (oil and gas well equipment, etc. ) might cost a million bucks$ per mile.
In a wet Spring, sometimes all you can do is wait for warm, dry weather to dry out the muddy roads.

Special, FLOAT-LOCK-DOWN tires can enable oil well service trucks to glide right over nasty, muddy roads ..... no worries about getting stuck.
Unfortunately, these expensive FLD tires must be shipped directly from the tire manufacturer ....

located in Yemen !
