If we did that and were only a fraction as "successful" in bringing new people to the site, I'd still consider that far better than multiple accounts spamming the heck out of Raging Bull, reflecting very poorly on us, and not resulting in a worthwhile contribution to the site anyway. Quality posting contributes to the site. A ton of empty accounts adds nothing. They were adding seriously to Matt's workload dealing with something that's completely irrelevant for non-posters. That's a problem. The solution was implemented today and affects all new accounts, no matter who referred them.
