All those oil companies that you mentioned are West "friendly" countries. As long as they trade in US petro-dollars, we are in good shape. Our large Embassy in Iraq is there to insure that the oil trade is in US dollars, if you recall, right before our invasion, Sadaam dropped the US currency in its oil trade, that negatively impacted our economy. It enables us to remain the world's currency for the moment. Now if Iraq tries to deviate from this formula, expect another invasion.
