Ok .. there is the 'past' history .. part of that the Iran-Iraq war with firstly American support of Saddam
then later support for both sides, so that terrible war lasted 8 years with Kissinger's comment something
like, 'let them kill each other' .. would have had a lasting impression on many Iranians, but MOST i'm sure
don't demonize the US as some mullahs and others of power do .. so that stuff has come from both sides.

To the more present REMEMBER that Obama reached out to Iran .. to all Muslims .. Obama was never into demonization
as Ahmadinejad, et al have been .. THE GREAT SATAN .. it's both sides .. and it's NOT at all a 'those governments' thing ..

Also, remember that the US DID NOT take Iraq's oil, though they had the chance
.. under Obama's watch .. so .. I'm not sure that in part what you say is correct ..
