Retiredyoung, you and Mont. have nailed it. I would only add that one should have 6-12 months of food supplies and the means to keep it if the SHTF happens big time. Pellet guns are not what I have in mind.

I think back when I was a in the USN and then worked for the DOD, it was my country right or wrong, now myself and most friends are afraid of our goverment and what has happened to our county.
