To CTYX shareholders:
Judging by a spike in e-mails and phone calls, some shareholders are concerned about the recent weakness in the stock of Connectyx Technologies (CTYX). After checking with management, we have no information that would account for this weakness other than tax loss selling in the few trading days left in 2011.
During this time, it would not be unusual for a small public float stock like CTYX to experience short term weakness from selling without offsetting bids to maintain price stability. After a sudden decline, the buyers DO appear. But, until Jan. 2 (the first trading day of 2012) and the first day that no seller is selling for immediate tax reasons, there may be volatility where buyers take advantage of sellers that are trying to reduce their capital tax gains bill due April 15.
