Philip Morris remains a big/influencial employer in the Richmond VA area albeit PM's international sales/investments now outpaces their domestic sales/investments. I've been told that in the past PM in Richmond VA gave every employee a (free) pack of cigarettes at the end of their shift - PM no longer does that as domestic profits have decreased, reflecting the fact that people have become more educated regarding the harm smoking cigarettes does to the human body.
