Did I suggest that in any way? I don't believe that we had a bombing campaign aimed at it's citizens. We went after a group of people called the taliban. That group's views and philosophy was well known. They were found to be directly linked to an attack on our country.

If our leaders decided to go after - say, Germany with a secret bombing campaign against the civilian population, I believe that Germany would be justified in going to war against our leaders. IF some American citizens died over that war, then our country would be responsible for those deaths.

I do not disagree. Looks like GW learned from the mistakes of the past. I suspect that you now applaud GW's stance against terrorism worldwide. I believe that the geo-political climate back then kept the US from doing much more, the climate now is much different - our citizens were directly attacked.
