its your money unless its invested then its not your money its their money. If you get some back with a sneeze then you had some fun and made some money. If you don't get your money back then you have a loss and did't get paid for your time either.

Donating time and money is what most people do to help a charity.

I didn't know companies for profit took charitable contributions disguised in diluted shares.
