SoxFan...Please explain further? I believe that most socialized programs have failed in the long run, and I also believe that most actually caused more of the harm they were created to stop or alleviate.

I hope to once again find a quote I just lost, for it was truly a favorite of mine. It went something like this:

I was raised a democrat, then I learned to read and think for myself, now I'm a republican. It was by a governor of Oregon, I think from 1952. However, It sums my thoughts, being raised a liberal democrat until I saw the light.
