i remember that albert matter renegociated the original deal with placer dome - it seems that (at least at that time) placer was (is?) eager to sell this property. perhaps a renegociation of the deal can be worked out - remember it was 9 month trailing average of gold over 325 or 10 years - at that time no one (?) expected that gold would rise as fast as it did (it was about 275 then?). perhaps a renegociation to 2005-6 when the mine gets operating would be a good deal for us here. secondly chester millar has contacts in the mining finance industry - my money (25% of portfolio) says that this problem will get resolved with the best interests of the shareholders in mind.
