...if we don't trust our government to make correct assesments and the right decisions then we are in a heck of a pickle.

And that is exactly where we found ourselves when "we" trusted our government's assesments and decisions in Vietnam (Korea was before my time). It behooves intelligent citizens to examine more closely what our government tells us rather than accepting it blindly like a pig in a poke. Fortunately, our Constitution makes that possible...nay, demands it!
