I think I updated the pricing quite a while back, but JNJ changed the Xarelto pricing about 6-8 weeks after initial approval for post-op ortho DVT prophylaxis to about $9.00 a pill to the consumer and it is running around $6.00 a pill through VHA pricing to facilities. This info is about 6 weeks old.

As far as assessing the effect from Xarelto, I was primarily linking enox sales comparison to DVT use of Xarelto. The Afib market for enox is fairly small, mainly used in people with chronic Afib who have to come off warfarin for a few days due to a procedure and they are bridged with enox. The other group that would be bridge therapy with enox while warfarin is being initiated. Regardless, both groups would be on enoxaparin for only 4-6 days on average.
