The notion that we needed to invade Iraq to secure oil is at best political, at worst a deception just as ridiculous as the current deception about Democracy coming to Iraq.

Since I was not privy to the National Security Council reports, nor the CIA, the FBI, or the volumes of overseas intellegence, I'll stick with the WMD reason.

In the one sentence many (not I) say the President is a fool (I'm using kind language), yet he managed to craft a plan (deceit) so complete that the Democrat's bought it hook, line and sinker????? If it is so selfevident that the premise was false (WMD) and there was a plan to deceive the American public and the opposing party, I would assume the Impeachment hearings would be under way?

As I've stated, many times, once it was apparent the WMD's weren't there we should have packed up and left Iraq.

And yes....we should strive to conserve energy, that's seems to be common sense. But as I take a look at "our culture", and our recent history, I'm not encouraged. They say the best leadership is done by example. When we look at our leader's consumption of fossil fuels, it's easy to see why many don't try to conserve.

Mind you, not an excuse, an observation.
