That is your belief, and it is myopic to a fundamentalist Biblical perspective. Survival of a species is contingent upon it's ability to adapt or evolve. The life cycle (of all life) is ongoing creation. Does it matter if we call it "creation" or "evolution"?

Religious people tend to see the "hand of God" in all of it.
