The difference is that god can not be proved. Science is an open system. What people believe at any time is simply a matter of conjecture. Postulates. It can change tomorrow. But it is not based on faith. It is based on proof.
It is not a religion.
The DNA evidence is there, if you can prove that it can not be explained by evolution you are free to do so. As long as you site nothing but scripture you are engaging in nothing but faith.
The burden of proof is not on science but on faith.
