It requires physical settlement when you sell. Therefore, it can cost $200 to $700 a transaction. MPIX is currently DTC eligible. You can trade the stock online. However, I do not guarantee that the high cost will not apply because the eligibility of a stock can change overtime. If before trade settlement, the security becomes Non-DTC eligible, the fee can apply. Please note that when you trade low-priced securities, you may face risk of illiquid buy-ins and potential fees assessed for settling transactions due to DTC ineligibility. People, if you are investing in either MPIX or EMXC, make sure you are not with Zecco!
