They dont charge for buys, just sells that IM aware of. Its a pass through fee, physical settlement fee, TA fee, DTC fee. Or whatever.... They got 100 different definitions and point the finger at the TA or DTC etc. But like I told you guys before these are usually DTC fees bc of physical settlement or some particular TAs will charge fees. Some dirty TAs have caught on and started raising crazy fees to make money. You were lucky it was only the small amount. Ive been charged 20, 60, 80, 125 and even 600 bucks a few times. These discussions are on IHUB and has been going on for the past year.


Once TDA gets wind of passer through fees thats when they restrict the buying and selling of stocks. Thats why I knew it was this right when you told me. They dont want unsuspecting people getting charged 1,000 bucks for 1 trade worth 100 bucks. Trust me its possible.
