I have mixed feelings on the breakup of AT&T.

#1 - It created a lot of new companies that have made shareholders a lot of money.

#2 - I'm sure it lowered the long distance rates because of the increased competition.

BUT,

#3 - Our phone service has suffered because the competing companies have not been held to the same standards that AT&T has had to comply with.
