I might as well pester you then as to why Theo couldn't pull off a deal for Colon.

BTW George is pissed and he is going to steal anyone Theo thinks of getting.

There's an article in this morning's Daily News (before the deal was made) that makes the assumption the only reason why The Yankees were doing this is to keep Bartolo Colon from going to The Red Sox. When I read the article, I had to laugh because it mentioned the usual Theo Epstein's temper tantrums and Steinbrenner's comments on how the Pres of The Red Sox is running the organization behind John Henry's back and how the guy has trouble talking out of the front of his mouth and how he is a sick person... lmao. The article made the motivation for the trade coming straight from the top because it is a personal thing between Steinbrenner and Lucchino (Red Sox Pres). The fact that The Yankees pulled this off has to be very discouraging for Red Sox fans. Not only do The Red Sox have to compete with The Yankees on the field but now because Lucchino is running off his mouth, every move The Sox try to make will be thwarted or an attempt will be made to to thwart it by The Yankees. You know how these things work out, The Yankees always win, they have more market influence and dominance in their organization than The Sox do. To try and compete with them, one on one or to target them as your #1 enemy is a huge.. HUGE mistake and you think The Red Sox brass would learn this by now. This trade shows the sheer power and dominance that The Yankees have over the rest of the league and it has absolutely nothing to do with payroll either. This is what it means being a Yankee fan, knowing that your team is doing everything.. everything possible to try and win a World Series. If that means keeping Bartolo Colon out of Boston, then so be it. Lucchino should have kept his mouth shut, things may have turned out otherwise. Those of you small market fans crying sour grapes because your ownership and management are all off vacationing on some remote Caribbean Island while The Yankees continue to be one of the only agressors, too bad, what do you want The Yankees do to? Take the winter off? Are you kidding me? lol

Now Sox fans, what are you going to do with Shea Hillenbrand? Who's gonna take him, The Mets? lol

For those who understand no explanation is needed, ...For those who don't none will.
